WHILE I FEEL THE WORDS ARE ACCURATE ENOUGH FOR THIS PURPOSE, I DO RECOGNIZE THAT IT ISN'T PERFECT. ======================================================================= GARY RUSSELL: You've just listened to "Deadfall"; the first story of season four; and the chances are you already know what you think about it. So, why not drop us a line and tell us? These new "On Tape" sections are going to be a lot more regular this season, and will be designed specifically to air your views, and answer your questions; such as this one from Peter [Crower] of Norwich: JIM MORTIMORE: "Does Nick Briggs play extras such as Commander Pritchard and the tube train computer voice?" NICK BRIGGS: Yes. It's true. I did play Commander Pritchard in "Cloud of Fear", and the Tannoy Voice in "Conglomerate", but I didn't play Roger Brady in "Planet of Lies", as a lot of people seem to think. That part was played by Hugo Ellis, whose name was omitted from the cast list due to an error. On this subject, you may like to know that I won't even be playing the Doctor in all of season four. Here's a letter from Jason [Mannex] of Darbyshire: JIM MORTIMORE: "One point I would like to make is the length of stories. The first half of "Nematoda" ran for just over half a tape. Could it not be stretched to fill the whole of its side? This goes for many other stories also." GARY RUSSELL: Well, unlike the BBC, we're not tied to producing our plays to a specific duration. And, rather than pad things out, we'd rather the stories ran their natural length, and any spare space we have can be used for "On Tape"s such as this. MUSIC: [UNDER] GARY RUSSELL: Following "Deadfall", is "Requiem" by Andy Lane. And the next story to go into production, is "Cuddlesome" by Nigel Fairs, which will then be followed by Erica Galloway's "Endurance". If you wish to order any of these plays, which cost two pounds, or any others in the Audio Visuals series, or simply just write to us and tell us your views, then be sure to remember our new address: ------ --- ------- (=-=-=-=-=-=-=) ----, -------- ------, -------.
